In his youth, he was once a patrol officer bribed by the Black Dragon, betraying his station to support his family. His deceit discovered, he was disowned and was forced to abscond. He would be indoctrinated into the clan and soon climbed the ranks as one of Kano's elites.Though he blended well into his new lifestyle for a while, eventually his conscience caught up to him. He contacted the Special Forces and helped them raid one of their major hideouts.He was pardoned by the state for his efforts and was allowed to rejoin the NYPD due to his newly gained expertise on crime rings.However, even after clawing his way to secure a second chance of having a normal life, Kabal finds himself becoming a black sheep amongst his peers. It would take a while to regain his footing in society as his past trails behind him.
This portrayal will focus on pre-MK9, where anything otherworldly, the future, or pertaining to multiverses will be new to Kabal.Due to Kronika's tampering with time and space, portals have opened in multiple places, including his own timeline, enabling opportunities to interact with others.Eventually, the account will undergo an SL retelling a canon divergent version of MK9 with a post-burns Kabal surviving the events. Inspiration for the portrayal is pulled from Mortal Kombat: Special Forces, Defenders of the Realm.While primarily set in the Mortal Kombat verse, writer is more than happy to write MVRP crossovers, alternate universes, and with OCs.ᐟProfiles below marked with HOME TIMELINE are his default dynamic with important canon characters. However, writer is more than happy to have mains of other character variants with plotting, eventually adding them to the master thread.

His beloved nine year old daughter. He received word that her mother, a past lover, has passed away with no one to care for her. He took it upon himself to look after her and is the primary reason why he had quit the Black Dragon. He wants nothing more than to be a normal, dependable dad to her.

HOME TIMELINE
His ex-boss from the Black Dragon. For a while, he was content with just following along and rose to be one of their favorites as a result. However, he did not take kindly to Kano's occasional belittlement of him. Their lack of care for the rest of the clan also became the straw that broke the camel's back, as he then understood at any moment he could be just as disposable.

A co-worker and eventually a good friend from the NYPD. She had first sought him out as an ex-mercenary of the Black Dragon. The two often stick together due to their shared feeling of being out of place at work and needing to find fun and fulfillment in the mundane.

An ex-member from his Black Dragon days. Although not really close, they were often lumped together due to both being Kano's top dogs of the pack. They love to poke fun behind their boss' back and got along well enough to get the job done; although he wouldn't really call Black someone he could trust without incentive.

To his surprise, Stryker— a well-liked and trusted officer in the NYPD, has on many occasions stuck up for him despite knowing of his past. Though their natures on the field may clash, he considers the two of them to be affable Bash Brothers and greatly appreciates their friendship.
